Bartender Job Duties:

  • Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits

  • Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested - paying extreme attention to detail

  • Satisfying patron requests in a timely manner

  • Making drink recommendations

  • Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons

  • Collecting money for drinks served and providing change as needed

  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers

  • Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories

  • Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment

  • Slicing and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks

  • Correctly taking guests’ food order

  • Complying with all food and beverage regulations

  • Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour

 

Server Responsibilities:

  • Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.

  • Enter patrons’ food and drink orders into computer tablets for transmittal to kitchen and bar staff.

  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner.

  • Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.

  • Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

  • Prepare checks and collect payments from tables.

  • Assist with stocking sauces, utensils, lining trays with paper.

  • Ensuring dining area, hallways, and restrooms are clean throughout shift.

 

Kitchen Staff Responsibilities:

  • Plating and packaging meals with extreme attention to detail.

  • Cleaning all dishes, work stations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations.

  • Washing, chopping, shredding, and mixing ingredients in preparation for use.

  • Learning how to prepare meats to be smoked; assisting with the smoking of meats.

  • Sweeping and mopping floors, as required.

  • Assisting with putting away inventory from deliveries.

  • Storing ingredients according to prescribed food safety regulations.

  • Assisting with the monitoring of inventory.

  • Cleaning trash cans and disposing refuse on a regular basis.
